Body of Jagannath Chhatra Dal leader discovered at Old Dhaka

Zobayed Hossain, a leader of Jagannath University's Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal, was found dead on the stairs of a building in Armanitola, Old Dhaka.

Around 6:00 pm on Sunday, Banshal Police Chief Rafiqul Islam said his body was found in the house on Panir Pump Lane where "he conducted tuition".

Zobayed, a 15th batch student, was a member of the university branch's Chhatra Dal convening committee and president of the Cumilla District Student Association.

 Professor Muhammad Tazammol Hoque, the University Proctor, stated, "I have heard the news.  The cause of death is still unknown.  It's really sad.  I requested request police review all CCTV footage.  "I'll be going to the scene."

 Former and current students, along with Chhatra Dal leaders, gathered at the Armanitola building where Zobayed was found.
