BNP holds nomination for Madaripur-1

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has withheld its earlier announcement nominating Kamal Zaman Mollah as the party’s candidate for the Madaripur-1 (Shibchar Upazila) constituency in the upcoming 12^th Jatiya Sangsad elections.

According to a press release issued by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Tuesday, the decision to hold Kamal Zaman Mollah’s nomination was made due to unavoidable circumstances.

The press release stated that BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir had announced the names of 237 nominated candidates during a press conference at the party chairperson’s office in Gulshan on Monday. However, the nomination for Madaripur-1 has been temporarily withheld, and the party will announce a revised name for the constituency later.
