The election campaign for BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has commenced in Bogura, where he will contest the upcoming 13th National Parliament Election from the Bogura-6 (Sadar) constituency.
Following the official announcement of his candidacy, party leaders and activists have mobilised with widespread enthusiasm.
They are actively engaged in public relations activities across various areas, distributing leaflets, and urging the public to cast their votes for the 'Paddy Sheaf' (Dhaner Shish) symbol.
On Friday, following Juma prayers, Bogura District BNP President and former Mayor Rezaul Karim Badsha led leaders and activists in public relations efforts across several parts of Bogura town.
Addressing the public, Badsha focused heavily on the district's perceived deprivation and neglect, asserting that Bogura has been deprived and neglected in recent years.
He stated that there has been no development during the long period of rule by the fascist government.
The central promise driving the BNP campaign is the assurance that if the BNP comes to state power, the genuine development of Bogura district will be realised.
Several senior party figures were present during the campaign drive, including BNP's National Executive Committee Member Zainul Abedin Chan, District BNP Vice-President Prof. Dr. Shah Md. Shahjahan Ali, Organising Secretary Shahid Un Nabi Salam, and Finance Secretary Shahadat Hossain, alongside leaders from local BNP and its associated organisations.
