BNP Acting Chairman and chief of the "Amra BNP Poribar", Tarique Rahman, has provided support to the family of Naznin, a disabled girl in Shailkupa Upazila, Jhenaidah, by helping with her medical treatment.
Naznin is the daughter of Nasir Mondol, a day labourer working in agriculture. The family resides in Anandnagar village, under Tribeni Union of Shailkupa Upazila.
A delegation from 'Amra BNP Poribar' visited the family on Friday, led by BNP Central Treasurer and adviser to 'Amra BNP Poribar', M Rashiduzzaman Millat.
During the visit, the BNP Treasurer handed over the medical assistance to Naznin's father on behalf of Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman. Millat also conveyed Rahman’s message of sympathy to the struggling family.
Naznin, who is now 18 years old, has been kept chained inside her house for 13 years due to her illness. Her family had been unable to afford treatment due to financial constraints.
Naznin’s brother, Jobayer, is also mentally disabled. Her parents, Nasir Mondol and Bulbul Begum, are struggling to support their two children under difficult circumstances.
