Jamaat demands ensuring security of all judges

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar has expressed deep shock, concern, and condemnation over the killing of the son of a Metropolitan Sessions Judge in Rajshahi at his residence.

In a statement issued in the capital on Sunday, he also called for ensuring the security of all judges.

The Jamaat Secretary General said such a brutal killing is unacceptable in a civilised society. Killing an innocent son and attacking his mother is tantamount to a crime against humanity, he said.

“We strongly condemn this heinous murder,” he said. He also expressed profound sympathy to the bereaved family of the victim and wished a quick recovery for the injured.

The Jamaat leader also demanded that the true culprits be arrested by uncovering the real motive behind the incident, and that a swift and impartial trial be ensured.
