Brigadier General (Retd) Dr AKM Shamsul Islam has been appointed as the 'Chief Security Officer' for former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.

On Wednesday, BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi signed a press release confirming the appointment.
