The Dhaka Metropolitan North unit of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) will conduct a voluntary clean-up drive on Friday morning to remove waste generated following the massive public gathering held to mark the ‘historic homecoming’ of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.
BNP Media Cell Convener Professor Dr Moudud Hossain Alamgir Pavel disclosed the information to the media on Thursday.
The cleaning operation will cover the July 36 Expressway (300-feet road), Airport Road and adjoining areas of the capital where people thronged on Thursday to welcome Tarique Rahman.
Prof Pavel said leaders and activists of Dhaka Metropolitan North BNP will participate in the drive as part of their voluntary service to restore cleanliness and ensure smooth traffic movement in the areas.
