Tarique Rahman, acting chairman of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), has completed all formalities for voter registration and has obtained his National Identity Card.
He arrived at the Election Commission's Election Training Institute (ETI) in Agargaon around 1:00 pm on Saturday to complete voter registration. He left the ETI premises around 1:18 pm after finishing all procedures.
According to Election Commissioner Abdur Rahmanel Masud, Tarique Rahman's voter registration is legal.
According to him, "Under Section 15 of the Voter List Act, the Election Commission may register any person as a voter at any time." In this case, there is no legal obstacle.
