BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman on Thursday listened to the demands of job-seeking teachers registered with the Non-Government Teachers' Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) as they stood on the street outside his party office in Gulshan.
The interaction took place in front of the BNP Chairperson's political office in the afternoon, said Shayrul Kabir Khan, a member of the party's media cell.
"Tarique Rahman arrived at the Gulshan office by car from his nearby residence. At that time, a group of job-seeking teachers registered with NTRCA had gathered outside the office gate to press their demands," he said.
The teachers expressed their long-standing grievances over delays in recruitment and sought effective steps to ensure timely appointment to non-government educational institutions.
