Canada’s High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Ajit Singh, has held a courtesy meeting with Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairman Tarique Rahman as part of ongoing diplomatic engagement with political stakeholders in the country.
The meeting took place on Monday morning at Tarique Rahman’s political office in the Gulshan area of Dhaka, according to BNP Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan. The Canadian envoy arrived at around 11:30 am.
During the meeting, the two exchanged greetings and discussed issues related to strengthening bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Canada. They also talked about expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest, BNP officials said.
