Bangladesh Nationalist Party Chairman Tarique Rahman is set to begin the Chattogram phase of his election campaign on Sunday, as the party intensifies nationwide outreach ahead of the upcoming parliamentary election.

The schedule was outlined on Saturday by Mahdi Amin, spokesperson for the BNP Central Election Steering Committee, during a press briefing at the party’s election office in Gulshan, Dhaka. He announced that Tarique Rahman will fly to Chattogram on Saturday evening and spend the night there as part of a comprehensive campaign schedule.

According to the plan, the BNP leader will start Sunday’s activities with a “Youth Policy Talk” at a hotel in Chattogram at 9:30 am. The session is expected to bring together around 300 students from various universities, providing a platform for discussion on the party’s policy priorities. Topics will include education, employment, agriculture, healthcare, women's empowerment and environmental protection.

Following the dialogue, Tarique Rahman is scheduled to address a large election rally at the historic Chattogram Polo Ground, marking the formal launch of his campaign in the port city.

Mahdi Amin announced that a series of rallies across several districts, including Feni, Cumilla, and Narayanganj, will follow the Chattogram visit. Planned stops include the Feni Pilot School Ground, the Chauddagram High School Ground in Cumilla, the Digbaji playground in Sonagazi, the Daudkandi Central Eidgah Ground, and Kanchpur Balur Math in Narayanganj.

Senior leaders from the BNP and its allied and affiliated organisations are expected to accompany Tarique Rahman during the tour, mirroring the structure of his earlier campaign activities.

Tarique Rahman formally launched his election campaign on January 22 from the Government Aliya Madrasah ground in Sylhet. Since then, the BNP has been stepping up public engagement efforts, placing particular emphasis on youth participation and policy-focused discussions as the party seeks to broaden its appeal ahead of polling day.
