Tarique Rahman pays visit to shrine of Shah Sultan Balkhi (RA)

BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman visited the shrine of Hazrat Shah Sultan Balkhi Mahisawar (RA) at the historical Mahasthangarh in Shibganj Upazila of Bogura on Friday.

During his visit in the afternoon, he was accompanied by BNP-nominated candidate for Bogura-2 constituency Mir Shahe Alam, along with party leaders, activists and supporters.

Upon reaching Shibganj, thousands of people lined up on both sides of the road to welcome him with floral greetings and waves. This created a festive atmosphere throughout the area.

After completing the shrine visit, Tarique Rahman departed for Rangpur. He is scheduled to join a roadside gathering to be organised in Mokamtala area of Shibganj Upazila on the way.

Earlier in the afternoon, he distributed wheelchairs among children and adolescents with special needs, an initiative led by BNP Chairman's spouse Dr Zobaida Rahman at Hotel Naz Garden in Bogura Town.

Local leaders, workers, dignitaries and a large number of general people were also present at that time.
