Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman will join an electioneering meeting in Jamalpur on Sunday.
Jamalpur District unit of the party is organising the meeting ahead of the upcoming general election slated to be held on 12 February.
A press release signed by Secretary General of Jamalpur District Unit Jamaat-e-Islami Advocate Mohammad Abdul Awal confirmed the information on Saturday.
He said that 11-party alliances have made necessary arrangements to hold the meeting at Singhajani Multipurpose High School field in the district town at 10am on Sunday.
Advocate Mohammad Abdul Awal also said that the Jamaat Ameer will address the meeting as the chief guest.
