Defending champions Barcelona have started the new La Liga season in style. Hansi Flick's men secured the Catalans' first win of the season by defeating Mallorca, who were upset by two red cards, 3-0.

Rafinha, Ferran Torres and Lamine Yamal scored one goal each for Barca in the match held on Saturday night. Barcelona had 72 percent possession of the ball throughout the match and took 24 shots, of which 8 were on target. In contrast, Mallorca took only 4 shots, of which one was on target.

The guests took the lead early in the match. Rafinha shook the net with a powerful header from Yamal's cross in the seventh minute. Then Ferran Torres took advantage of the opponent's defensive mistake and scored a cool goal in the 23rd minute.

Mallorca suffered a big blow in the first half. Manu Morales was sent off for a second yellow card after fouling Yamal in the 33rd minute. Vedat Muric received a straight red card in the 39th minute for a dangerous tackle on goalkeeper Juan Garcia. The yellow card was changed to red by VAR.

Barca's attack was difficult to handle despite two players down in the second half. Yamal, Rafinha and Dani Olmo wasted several chances, but Mallorca were saved by the goalkeeper's skill. Substitute Marcus Rashford also failed to capitalize on his first competitive match. However, Yamal made the scoreline 3-0 with a great left-footed shot in the fourth minute of added time, confirming Barca's big win.
