The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) governing council has declared that the 12th edition of the tournament will begin on December 19 with five clubs.

Dhaka, Rangpur, Chattogram, Rajshahi, and Sylhet are the five teams competing this year. The number of teams participating in the BPL is the lowest in its history. The last edition had seven teams.
This version will be contested in a short time frame, with the final on January 16. The player draft will take place on November 17.

Champion Sports - Dhaka

Nabil Group - Rajshahi
