All-rounder Mahedi Hasan said the players would follow the instructions of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and the government regarding the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup.
His comments came ahead of a meeting between the national team players and Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Nazrul.
The meeting was arranged to brief the players on the current situation after the ICC rejected the BCB's request to relocate Bangladesh's World Cup matches to Sri Lanka.
BCB President Aminul Islam Bulbul and other top officials were also present at the meeting.
"Every player who is in the World Cup squad was personally informed about the meeting," Mahedi said beforehand.
"Who wouldn't want to play in a World Cup? Every player wants that. But ultimately, it's the board's decision, and the government also has its stance," he added.
"They are our guardians, and as players, I feel we should follow their decisions."
Following the meeting, Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Nazrul made it clear that there is no possibility of Bangladesh travelling to India for the upcoming T20 World Cup, stating that the security situation there has not changed.
