Rajshahi Warriors have been crowned champions of the 12th edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) after sealing a comprehensive 63-run victory over Chattogram Royals in the final at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.
Batting first after losing the toss, Rajshahi posted a competitive total of 174 for four in their allotted 20 overs. Their innings was built on disciplined batting, effective strike rotation and a late acceleration that allowed them to set a challenging target on a surface offering some assistance to the bowlers.
Chattogram’s response never gained momentum. Facing sustained pressure from Rajshahi’s attack, wickets fell at regular intervals as batters struggled to break free. The chase collapsed in the 18th over, with Chattogram dismissed for 111 in 17.5 overs, handing Rajshahi a decisive win on the biggest stage of the tournament.
The result underlined Rajshahi Warriors’ consistency throughout the season, with the side delivering balanced performances in both batting and bowling from the league phase through to the knockout rounds. Their ability to control key moments in high-pressure matches proved decisive in the final.
A packed Mirpur crowd witnessed an emphatic end to the tournament, as Rajshahi’s players and supporters celebrated a title that capped a commanding BPL campaign. For Chattogram Royals, the defeat brought disappointment, though their competitive run across the season earned them recognition as one of the tournament’s strongest sides.
The conclusion of the 12th BPL once again highlighted the league’s growing stature as Bangladesh’s premier domestic T20 competition, continuing to draw strong fan engagement and showcasing emerging and established talent.
