BCB greets Aminul as youth and sports minister

The Bangladesh Cricket Board has extended its warm congratulations to Aminul Haque on his appointment as State Minister for the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Bangladesh Government.

In a press release on Tuesday, the BCB highlighted that Aminul Haque’s leadership on the sports field has inspired a generation of supporters and young athletes across the country.

“The former Bangladesh National Football Team captain’s elevation to a key role in national sports administration marks an important moment for the sporting fraternity, reflecting recognition of the value of experience earned through competition at the highest level,” the statement said.

Citing Aminul’s appointment as a significant step for Bangladesh sports, BCB president Aminul Islam Bulbul said, “The appointment of a distinguished sports figure like Aminul Haque as State Minister for Youth and Sports is a significant step for Bangladesh. Having led the national football team with pride, he understands the realities, challenges and aspirations of athletes firsthand.”

Bulbul expressed confidence that Aminul’s experience as a sportsman will positively influence the development of sports across all disciplines.

“The BCB reaffirms its commitment to working closely with the new State Minister and the Ministry of Youth and Sports in promoting and strengthening sports at all levels, ensuring continued progress and opportunity for athletes across Bangladesh,” the release added.
