Australia will be without captain Mitchell Marsh and leading batsman Travis Head for the three-match one-day international series against Bangladesh, with Josh Inglis set to lead the side.
Cricket Australia confirmed on Monday that both players had been ruled out of the series, which begins in Dhaka on Tuesday.
Marsh and Head also missed Australia's recent 2-1 ODI series defeat in Pakistan. Marsh is continuing his recovery from an ankle injury, while Head has been granted personal leave.
Leg-spinner Tanveer Sangha has also been ruled out after suffering a hamstring injury during the second ODI against Pakistan.
Despite missing the ODI series, Marsh will travel to Bangladesh to rejoin the squad as he targets a return for the subsequent Twenty20 matches.
Teenage batsman Ollie Peake and power-hitter Matt Short, who had originally been scheduled to return home after the Pakistan tour, will remain with the squad for the Bangladesh series.
Off-spinner Todd Murphy has been called up as Sangha's replacement. Murphy has played seven Test matches for Australia but is yet to make his debut in limited-overs international cricket.
National selector Tony Dodemaide said Sangha's injury had ended his involvement in the tour.
“Unfortunately, Tanveer Sangha sustained a hamstring injury during the second ODI against Pakistan and will take no further part in the tour,” he said.
“We were hopeful Mitch Marsh would be available for the Bangladesh ODI series; however, he is still returning to full fitness from an ankle injury.”
Dodemaide added that Head would miss both the ODI and T20 legs of the tour.
“Travis was initially selected in the ODI and T20I legs of this Bangladesh tour but has subsequently been granted personal leave for both,” he said.
Australia's squad for the ODI series comprises Josh Inglis (captain), Xavier Bartlett, Alex Carey, Cooper Connolly, Ben Dwarshuis, Nathan Ellis, Cameron Green, Matthew Kuhnemann, Marnus Labuschagne, Todd Murphy, Ollie Peake, Matthew Renshaw, Liam Scott, Matt Short and Adam Zampa.
