Bangladesh's stand-in captain Towhid Hridoy won the toss and elected to bat first in the third and final T20 game against Australia, aiming to secure a consolation victory at Bir Shrestha Shaheed Flight Lieutenant Motiur Rahman Stadium in Chattogram today.

The visiting Australians won the first two matches by four wickets and 7 runs respectively to take an unassailable 2-0 lead.

The massive turnaround for Australia came after they lost the preceding ODI three-series by a 2-1 margin.

Bangladesh, however, made three changes to the line-up from the previous game in a bid to avoid a whitewash, with Soumya Sarkar, Abdul Gaffar Saqlain and Mustafizur left out of the squad.

Taskin Ahmed, Shoriful Islam and Nurul Hasan Sohan replaced the three players.

The Australia squad is unchanged from the series-clinching victory in the previous game.
