WASHINGTON,
The State Department insisted Saturday that the 28-point plan for ending the Ukraine conflict was not a “wish list” drafted by the Kremlin, denying accusations made by a group of US senators.
The lawmakers stated earlier Saturday that Secretary of State Marco Rubio called them to inform them that President Donald Trump was promoting a "Russian wish list."
Tommy Pigott, the State Department spokesman, posted on X that this claim is blatantly false. “As Secretary Rubio and the entire Administration have consistently maintained, this plan was authored by the United States, with input from both the Russians and Ukrainians.”
